USACH

After successfully finishing the Eco-USACH project in March of 2009, I got the opportunity to work with a great team of professional over at the Department of Industrial Engineering of USACH. The University de Santiago de Chile(USACH) is Chile’s premier university for the sciences. I was contacted by the department of industrial engineering to photograph their faculty and administration portraits for the 2009-2010 academic year.

In early April a two week long project began to take shape that involved both portraits as well as commercial usage.

Pre-production included both location scouting as well as talent scouting. We spend two days total scouting.  A few local models (who attended USACH as well) were chosen for the commercial shoot. We worked a full ten hour shooting day and proceeded with postproduction the next day. Following that editing day we went straight into the portraiture phase of the job.

For the portraits we had to round up all the professors and get them into one day of shooting.Working with the mixed schedules of each professor and faculty members was not simple - very complex as a matter of fact. Against the odds we pulled off a twelve hour day of shooting.
